MOBILE, Ala. __ Tuskegee's men's tennis picked up a pair of wins on the first day of the SIAC Round-Up on Thursday, claiming a 4-3 victory over Benedict before a 6-0 sweep of Lane at the Copeland-Cox Tennis Center.
While Tuskegee (8-6, 6-2 SIAC) earned the win over Benedict with four singles wins, the Golden Tigers were in complete control every match against the Dragons, with a combined four shutout wins.

Tuskegee found themselves in a fight to start off the day, dropping the doubles point versus the Tigers with losses of 6-1 and 6-3 on courts one and two, respectively. The tandem of
Zamani Moyo and
Teryon Newbold-Hudson earned the lone doubles pairing for TU, winning 6-1 on court three.
In singles, Newbold-Hudson and
Ty'lon Miller earned wins in straight sets at courts five and six, garnering the first and second points for Tuskegee. Meanwhile, Moyo and Torain Allen both earned three-set wins on courts one and three to clinch the 4-3 win.

The second match of the day against the Dragons was a complete contrast, as the Golden Tigers dominated from start to finish.
Miller and
Jack Shaw defeated their opposition 6-0 at court two, while Moyo and New-bold Hudson earned a win by default.
It was again four wins in singles play, as TU picked up points on every court but an unfinished match on court one.
Noah Johnson,
Eliyahu Pinkney, and Shaw all earned 6-0, 6-0 wins, while the final two were wins by default.
