TUSKEGEE – As the calendar prepares to flip to March, Tuskegee is set to plays 12 of its next 15 regular season games at home. The Golden Tigers play the next four games at Washington Field, starting with a Wednesday afternoon non-conference matchup against Alabama Huntsville.

Tuskegee is coming off a road series against Benedict, taking one of three from the Tigers in Columbia. After the teams split the first two slugfest games on Sunday (combined for 36 runs scored), the Golden Tigers dropped the rubber match with a 13-8 loss on Monday.
Harrison Barnes was nearly unstoppable at the plate this past week, batting .588 (6-for-7) with six total hits. He registered multiple hits in both games he played, which included a solo home run and a double. He had two three-hit and two run performances and is now batting .296.
Devon Lee improved to 1-2 after earning a win in the xx game of the weekend series after going 5.0 innings in his third start of the year. He currently holds number of a 2.00 WHIP, while allowing 14 hits, striking out nine, and allowing opponents to bat .250 against him.
On the year, both
Nicholas Pratt and
Scott Williams have a team-high of ten hits through 13 games so far, while Pratt has driven in six runs and scored six times. Williams has added seven RBI and scored seven times.
UAH has won 10 of its last 12 games coming into the meeting, including four straight wins that includes a series win over Truman State where the Chargers swept the series from the Great Lakes Valley Conference opponent. All three of those victories came at home, a place where the Chargers are 7-1 this season.
They are anchored offensively by Merik Carter who is batting .452, which ranks fourth in Gulf South Conference. He is also tied for the lead on the team in total hits (19) and runs batted in (15), while leading in total bases (32) and triples (1). The sophomore is currently at 13 runs scored, five doubles, and two home runs on the year.
Jacob Peters currently leads the pitching staff so far, at 2-1. The junior has appeared on the mound four times, and has allowed 14 runs, 13 hits, and struck out 13 in 17.2 innings pitched.
