TUSKEGEE __ The Tuskegee baseball team will continue its Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) slate this weekend as they hit the road to face Benedict in a three-game series.
The series originally scheduled to start on Saturday, has been moved to Sunday and Monday due to weather in Columbia.

The Golden Tigers (2-8, 1-2 SIAC) are coming off a midweek non-conference loss to West Alabama, 7-5. TU outhit UWA eight to five, led by a 2-for-4 day from junior
James Slaughter, along with five other batters combined for the remaining six hits.
Daniel Williams Jr. got the start for Tuskegee, working for three innings and giving up four runs on two hits and earning one strikeout.
Cody Willis,
Jaylen Hill, and
Tyee Turner all made appearances out of the bullpen, combining for 4.2 innings of work. Meanwhile,
Ryan Morrow,
Alex Glass, and Williams each drove in one run for the Golden Tigers, while Morrow stole two of four total stolen bases.
For the season, sophomore
Nicholas Pratt leads the program at the plate, batting .320 with an OPS of .739. The infielder has 25 at-bats in nine games, collecting eight hits, six runs batted in and two scores.
Benedict enters the weekend 1-2 at home after having lost two of three to start the season, as the program opened the year last weekend at home against Lane. The Tigers fell 13-9 and10-3 last Saturday, before taking a 7-6 win in ten innings on Sunday to close out the series.
Four Tigers – Isaiah Canty, Justin Murray, Taj Bates, and Jalen McDuffie – made the preseason All-SIAC team, but Jamell Mitchell Jr. has been the best returner thus far, batting .667 with an OPS of 1.334. He has four hits, two runs batted in, and two runs scored through three games. Pitching wise, Kent Johnson has the lone win for BC, having thrown for 5.0 innings, allowing one hit, striking out three and holding a 0.00 ERA.
