ATLANTA, Ga. __ Announced on Tuesday, three Tuskegee volleyball players have been recognized with weekly honors by the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) for their performances over the past week.

Moriah Seay, who was been named SIAC Volleyball Player of the Week, junior
Lauren Canady who earned SIAC Newcomer of the Week, and junior
Mikea Allen claimed SIAC Setter of the Week honors.

Moriah Seay - SIAC Volleyball Player of the Week
Seay had a phenomenal week, leading the Golden Tigers' offense and defense. Over 17 sets, she recorded 48 kills (2.82 kills per set) on 154 attempts for a hitting percentage of .175. Defensively, she added 10 total blocks and 41 digs, showing her all-around ability. Her standout match came against Kentucky State, where she notched 19 kills and 5 block assists in a five-set thriller?.

Lauren Canady - SIAC Newcomer of the Week
Canady was instrumental in both the attack and defense for Tuskegee. She recorded 55 kills (2.62 kills per set) on 137 attempts with a hitting percentage of .290. Canady also contributed 52 digs (2.48 digs per set), showcasing her ability to play a strong all-around game. Her best performance came against Central State, where she tallied 15 kills and nine digs to help the Golden Tigers secure a victory. She also recorded her first double-double against Kentucky State, finishing with 10 kills and 27 digs in the lone loss of the week.

Mikea Allen - SIAC Setter of the Week
Allen was the key facilitator of the Tuskegee offense last week, dishing out 111 assists over 16 sets (6.94 assists per set). She also added seven service aces and 41 digs (2.56 digs per set). Allen's play was pivotal in the Golden Tigers' victories, particularly in the win over Central State, where she recorded her fourth double-double of the year with a season-high 45 assists along with 14 digs, and two service aces.
