Tuskegee Volleyball Wins Third Straight with 3-1 Road Victory at Stillman

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Tuskegee Golden Tigers continued their strong play of late, securing a 3-1 victory over Stillman College on Tuesday, inside of Birthright Alumni Hall in Tuscaloosa.
 
The Golden Tigers came out strong in the first set, overcoming an early deficit to win 25-21. Lauren Canady led the way in the match, finishing with 13 kills and a .267 hitting percentage, while Kayla Coleman added nine with four digs and a pair of blocks.
 
Stillman responded in the second set with strong net play, winning 25-22. Tuskegee struggled to maintain their offensive rhythm, with several attack errors allowing Stillman to edge out the win.
 
Despite the setback, Tuskegee remained competitive, with Canady and Coleman continuing to provide offensive firepower.
 
Tuskegee bounced back with authority in the third set, cruising to a dominant 25-13 victory.
 
Sian Sprinkle and Ma'Kayla Jones delivered key kills, while the Golden Tigers' defense stifled Stillman's attack, holding them to a negative hitting percentage (-.105).
 
The Golden Tigers closed out the match with a 25-19 win in the fourth set. Canady and Jones continued to lead the offense, combining for several critical points down the stretch.
 
Defensively, Mikea Allen led the way with 17 digs along with 31 assists, while Seay recorded 12 digs along with seven kills and a service ace. Ziniah Hardy also added ten digs, while the team finished six blocks, helping Tuskegee maintain control and seal the victory.
 
Up Next
The Golden Tigers will return to the court this weekend as they compete in the first SIAC West Cluster, hosted by Spring Hill in Mobile. Tuskegee will face Central State at 12 p.m. and Kentucky State at 5 p.m. on Friday, followed by LeMoyne-Owen and Lane on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. respectively.
