ALBANY, Ga. __ Tuskegee volleyball defeated Allen on Friday, 3-1, as part of a five-match weekend of the SIAC Crossover, hosted by Albany State, before struggling on Saturday in the two-day event.
The weekend started with an early match against Albany State, as the Golden Tigers fell victim to a 3-0 sweep. TU bounced back later in the next match, taking the final three sets of a four-set game against Allen (21-25, 25-19, 25-19, 25-22). Tuskegee rounded out day one with Benedict, dropped the contest 3-0.
The Golden Tigers opened day two with a meeting with Fort Valley State, as the programs went a full five sets. Tuskegee came out strong, taking the first two sets by scores of 28-26 and 25-19 respectively, before dropping the final three to fall in five to the Wildcats. Tuskegee dropped another five-set game to conclude the weekend's action, falling to Clark Atlanta despite leading 2-1 after three sets.
