TUSKEGEE, Ala. __ Tuskegee volleyball took their opening game of weekend play at the SIAC West Cluster against Central State on Thursday, sweeping the Marauders 3-0 inside of Knox-Windham Gym in Fairfield, Alabama.
The Golden Tigers displayed a balanced attack on offense, with seven players recording multiple kills, led by junior
Moriah Seay with six kills along with 16 digs on the day.
Alexandria Ellis followed with five kills and four blocks, while freshmen
Kayla Coleman and
Trinity Winningham both finished with four kills in the win.
Sophomore
Mikea Allen recorded her sixth double-double of the season, accounting for 11 assists and 10 digs, while sophomore
Jeilin Robinson had a season-high 15 digs defensively.
Tuskegee outhit Central State in the contest, hitting a .136 clip compared to -0.64 from Central State. The Golden Tigers also finished with 11 service aces, 58 total digs, and seven blocks in the game.

Tuskegee will continue weekend play on Friday, as they face off against LeMoyne-Owen at 11 a.m. before taking on Lane at 1 p.m. to finish the day.
