FAIRFIELD, Ala. ^__ After taking their opening game of the weekend on Thursday evening, the Golden Tigers split games on Friday in the SIAC West Cluster, defeating LeMoyne-Owen, 3-1, before falling to Lane by the same score.

Tuskegee (7-16, 5-11) started the day off strong with its win over LeMoyne-Owen, outhitting the Magicians .185 (63-31-173) to .171 (46-20-152) for the match, as well as out digging the opponent 77 to 74. 

The Golden Tigers recorded double figure kills in all four sets, along with out dishing out 34 assists to 41 from LeMoyne-Owen. Moriah Seay led the team with a game-high 14 kills along with 18 digs, followed by freshmen Kayla Coleman and Trinity Winningham with 12 and 10 kills respectively. Winningham also recorded a game-high 25 digs for her first career double double in the win.

In their second game, the Golden Tigers lost a hard-fought match to Lane, led by 10 kills from Seay, while Winningham had her second consecutive game of 20 digs or more, followed by double figure digs from Jeilin Robinson (13), and Allen (11) in the loss.
 
Tuskegee finished the game with 44 kills and 40 assists, compared to 50 kills and 45 assists from Lane. The Dragons also outhit TU on the day, maintaining a .163 hitting percentage, compared to just .145 from Tuskegee.
