Jackson Named to Preseason All-Conference Team

The senior was named Second Team All-SIAC

ATLANTA, Ga. – Tuskegee senior outside hitter Erin Jackson was named to the 2022 Preseason All-Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Team on Friday. The SIAC also released the preseason rankings, with the Golden Tigers finding themselves picked to finish fifth in the West Division.

Jackson started 16 matches last season and recorded a team high 165 kills, good for eighth in the SIAC, along with 180 total points and finishing second in digs and aces. The outside hitter earned five or more kills in 15 of 16 matches she played, including eight double-digit kill matches and a career-high 20 kills against LeMoyne-Owen.
 
The outside hitter was also responsible for 114 digs, good for second on the team last season, along with 13 assists and 12 aces on the year under then first year head coach Pamela Perkins.
 
Spring Hill led all member institutions with five (6) total preseason selections, followed by Benedict (2). Albany State, Clark Atlanta, Central State, Edward Waters, Tuskegee, and Savannah State each had one selection (1).
