Golden Tigers extend their win streak to four games after doubleheader against Clark Atlanta

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 TUSKEGEE, Ala. I Tuskegee extended their hot streak on Saturday afternoon as they defeated Clark Atlanta 11-0 and 11-5 in the first two games of the weekend series at Washington Field.
 
Tuskegee 11, Clark Atlanta 0
Savontae Williams (Riverdale, Ga.) did not allow a single run as the Golden Tigers defeated Clark Atlanta 11-0 in the first game of the doubleheader, allowing just four hits.
 
Tuskegee fired up the offense in the first inning after Alex Glass (Birmingham, Ala.) hit into a fielder's choice to drive in the first run. They added two more scores in the bottom of the second as Richard Smith (Birmingham, Ala.) singled to right field to score Harrison Barnes (Cincinnati, Ohio), followed by a single from Russell Coleman (Laurel, Miss.) to score Smith. Tuskegee scored their last run of the inning off a double from Caleb Cobb (Hockley, Texas) to score Coleman two batters later to take a 4-0 lead.
 
After scoring again in the third after Glass stole home plate, the Golden Tigers tallied five runs in the seventh inning. Mark Hatch (Chicago, Ill.), Joshua Lewis (Huntsville, Ala.), and Corey Stallings (Richton Park, Ill.), all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
 
Williams earned the win for Golden Tigers, working seven innings and striking out six batters.
 
Michael Fegins toed the rubber for Clark Atlanta, pitching five innings and allowing five runs on six hits and striking out four, while Kobe Williams threw one and one-third innings out of the bullpen.
 
Golden Tigers totaled ten hits in the game led by Cobb, Stallings and Smith all had multiple hits. Cobb went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Golden Tigers in hits, while the team also had three players steal at least two bases, led by Barnes with three in the first game.
 
Tuskegee 11, Clark Atlanta 5
The Golden Tigers took the second game as well, scoring 11 runs again thanks to a timely ten run inning the fourth.
 
After scoring a run in the top half of the first, Clark Atlanta extended their lead in the top of the third with a pair of runs, before Tuskegee responded with a score as James Eichelberger (McDonough, Ga.) singled to bring in Lewis to make the score 3-1.
 
The Golden Tigers pulled away for good with ten runs in the fourth, starting with a two RBI single from Albert Gonzalez (Brooklyn, N.Y.) to score Mark Hatch (Chicago, Ill.) and Jeremy Hawkins (Pinson, Ala.) to tie the game.
 
Tuskegee added two more runs a few batters later after a single from Stallings along with Cobb being hit by a pitch to score their fifth run. Moments later, Eichelberger drove in another run with an infield single, followed by another run off a batter being hit by a pitch. The Golden Tigers scored their final four runs later in the inning to secure the victory and the series.
 
Jalan Daniels (Atlanta, Ga.) took the win for Tuskegee, allowing eight hits and five runs over five innings and striking out eight. Tyler Baker (Mobile, Ala.) threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.
 
The Golden Tigers had ten hits in the game, with Eichelberger and Hawkins both collected multiple hits in the win. Eichelberger led the team with three hits in three at bats. Meanwhile, the Golden Tigers also proved to be sure handed in the field, not committing a single error in game two.
