MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Tuskegee baseball will make the 103 mile trip to Montevallo Wednesday morning for a 2 p.m. first pitch and rematch with the Falcons. The game was moved to an early start time due to cold weather that is expected in the area during the evening.
This is the second and final meeting between the two schools as the Falcons won the previous meeting 14-2 back on February, 6
th. In that game, Montevallo scored 14 runs in four straight innings in a mid-week tilt. That contest however marked the fourth consecutive game in as many days for TU after its season opening series at Lee University.
TU is led by pitcher
Trey Nelson, who was named Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Pitcher of the Week following his performance two weeks ago.
The Lithonia, (Ga.) native currently leads the conference in strikeouts (31) batters who struck out looking (10) and has also pitched a league high 26.2 innings.
Ryan Green has a team-high nine hits on the season with
Matthew Reed notching five RBI.
