Box Score 2 HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Tuskegee Volleyball team dropped its season opener against Harding 0-3 (25-12, 25-14, 25-7) and Treveca Nazerene 0-3 (25-12, 25-12, 25-15) Friday in the Hampton Inn Providence UAH Classic hosted by Alabama-Huntsville.
Tuskegee starts off season 0-2
HARDING MATCH
FIRST SET
Trailing 12-8, Harding went on a 6-0 run to lead 18-8 and went on to win the set 25-12.
SECOND SET
With the set tied at five, TU fell behind with a 12-2 run to trail 17-7. The Lady Bisons went on to win the set 25-14.
THIRD SET
Harding opened the third set with a 6-0 run and quickly made it a 23-5 score. The Golden Tigers dropped the set 25-7.

- Takeba Dowden led Tuskegee with five kills.
- Zahria Radford led the defense with eight digs.
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. –Tuskegee led 5-2 in set one, but a 23-7 run by Trevecca led to a 25-12 defeat In set two, TU led 12-11, but a 9-0 TNU run put the Trojans in control 20-12 and later a 25-15 win … TNU continued to roll with a 5-1 run to start set three, a later 5-0 run put the Golden Tigers behind 19-8, before falling in the set three 25-12 and sealing the two match sweep on the day.
Cyrani Butler (8), Crystal Hall (5), Takeba Dowden (3) each led the team in kills against TNU. Embrey Johnson had a game high 16 assists with Butler leading the way with nine digs.
