Tennis heads east to Valley to face Point University

Women return to action for first time since Crossover, men play back-to-back days

TUSKEGEE, Ala. | The Tuskegee University tennis teams will begin a full week of action Monday afternoon as they travel to Valley (Ala.) to face Point University in a non-conference matchup. The match is scheduled to begin at 1 pm (est).

The Tuskegee women (6-3, 6-1 SIAC) return to action for the first time since February 26 when they defeated Fort Valley State at the SIAC Crossover. They will put their four-match winning streak on the line, last losing to Benedict back on February 25. They have also won five out of their last six matches this season, and will be looking for their first non-conference victory of the season.

During the SIAC Crossover, Tuskegee dropped just one match during their four victories which included a pair of 9-0 victories. Throughout the entire SIAC Crossover, Tuskegee dropped just six points overall as they went 4-1.

Meanwhile, the Tuskegee men (3-7, 3-5 SIAC) will play on back-to-back days after taking three weeks off following the SIAC Crossover. The Golden Tigers enter the match on Monday following a 7-2 loss to Morehouse at the PepsiCo Tennis Courts.

The Golden Tigers have dropped two of their last three matches, after winning three of four matches at the SIAC Crossover at the end of February.

The teams will stay on the road later in the week playing in another SIAC Crossover in Mobile.
