BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Pamela Allen paced three players in double digit kills with 22, leading Tuskegee University to a 3-1 (25-23,27-29,27-25,27-25) victory over Stillman at the SIAC Volleyball Championships Thursday morning.
Allen finished the morning session hitting .474 on 38 total attempts, while
Jamiah Breda-Nixon finished with 19 kills and
Jacqueline Wilson 13 in the victory.
Tuskegee (18-12) finished the match hitting .230, while holding Stillman to just a .163 hitting percentage. The Tigerettes finished with just eight blocks, but also had 87 total digs in the match.
Zahria Radford finished with 30 digs, while
Morgan Scrivens recorded another double-double with 20 digs and 55 assists.
Janae Graham added 12 digs, while
Nailah Pruitt added 10 in the victory.
Shelia Dailey led Stillman (19-20) with 20 kills, while Shun Lewis-Brooks finished with 13.
Tuskegee will face the loser of the Kentucky State (1 east) and Albany State (2 east) match at 3 pm Thursday afternoon.
