TUSKEGEE, Ala. | The Tuskegee University volleyball team will look to win their second consecutive SIAC match, and their 10th match overall as they face rival Miles College in Fairfield (Ala.) Thursday night.
Tuskegee (9-8, 7-5 SIAC) and Miles have not met this season, but met twice last year with the Tigerettes winning both - dropping just one set in the two matches combined. The Tigerettes have split their last eight conference matches after starting the year 3-1 in conference play, including splitting all six of their matches at the SIAC Crossover.
The Tigerettes are led by junior
Pamela Allen, the reigning SIAC Offensive Player of the Week, with 160 kills through 17 matches. She is averaing 3.02 kills per match with a hitting percentage of .373 - putting her in the NCAA statistical rankings at 20th. Freshman
Jamiah Breda-Nixon has recorded 111 kills,
Jacqueline Wilson 80 and
Donovan Wingfield 66.
Sophomore
Morgan Scrivens is among the leaders in the conference with 401 assists, averaging 7.57 assists per set. Defensively, freshman
Zahria Radford leads the team with 194 digs, while Scrivens has 83.
Janae Graham leads the nation in aces per set and total aces with 43 total aces, averaging 0.84 aces per set.
The match is set to start at 5:30 pm in Fairfield.
