TUSKEGEE, Ala. | For the second consecutive match, the Tuskegee University volleyball team will play at Chappie James Arena in non-conference action, hosting Huntingdon College on Monday night.
The match is scheduled to start at 6 pm.
Tuskegee (14-11, 11-8 SIAC) is currently tied for third in the West Division of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) with only two conference matches remaining after the match Monday night. The Tigerettes find themselves in a tie with Stillman for third place, a team in which they split with during their two regular season meetings.
The Tigerettes are led by junior
Pamela Allen, the reigning SIAC Offensive Player of the Week, offensively with 245 kills. She is averaging 3.14 kills per set (second in the conference and hitting .349 (second in the conference and 47th in the nation).
Jamiah Breda-Nixon, the reigning SIAC Newcomer of the Week, has contributed 174 kills and is hitting .242 on the season. Sophomore
Morgan Scrivens leads the Tigerettes with 593 assists and is currently third in the conference in assists per set.
Janae Graham leads the nation in service aces and service aces per set this season, as she has recorded 65 aces (averaging 0.86 service aces per set).
As a team, Tuskegee is ranked among the top three in several categories in the conference this season which include aces per set (second), assists per set (third), hitting percentage (second), opponent hitting percentage (second), team assists (third), team service aces (first) and team total attacks (third).
They also currently lead the nation in team service aces with 207, and are third in aces per set with 2.59.
