Kusamae Draper being named SIAC Player of the Year and a First Team All-SIAC selection, while junior guard
Khalil Genwright earned Second Team All-SIAC honors and head coach
Benjy Taylor was named SIAC Coach of the Year.
Draper served as the centerpiece of Tuskegee's championship-caliber season, starting all 26 games while averaging 16.3 points and a team-best 7.4 rebounds per game. The senior forward shot 43.9 percent from the field and nearly 60 percent from the free throw line, totaling 423 points and 193 rebounds, including 67 offensive rebounds, while averaging 31.9 minutes per game.
Throughout conference play, Draper was the focal point of Tuskegee's offense and interior presence, consistently drawing double teams while maintaining efficient production. He reached double figures in 24 of 26 games and recorded 10 games with 20 or more points, including a season-high 30-point performance at Auburn Montgomery. Draper also delivered multiple 23-point performances in key SIAC matchups and posted several double-doubles during the season.
On the glass, Draper recorded double-digit rebounds in six games, highlighted by a 13-rebound performance at Allen and a 10-rebound outing against Morehouse. He led the Golden Tigers in scoring in eight contests and led or shared the team lead in rebounding in 14 games. During the heart of conference play, Draper produced a 14-game double-digit scoring streak, showcasing his consistency as Tuskegee's offensive anchor.
In addition to his scoring and rebounding impact, Draper contributed 36 assists, 21 steals, and seven blocks, demonstrating his all-around value on both ends of the floor.
Genwright emerged as one of Tuskegee's most dynamic backcourt contributors during the season, earning Second Team All-SIAC recognition after delivering consistent production on both ends of the court. The junior guard played a key role in Tuskegee's perimeter scoring and defensive pressure throughout conference play, providing scoring bursts, playmaking ability, and rebounding support from the guard position.
Genwright's ability to attack the basket, stretch defenses from the perimeter, and create opportunities for teammates made him one of the Golden Tigers' most versatile offensive threats. His production helped Tuskegee maintain one of the conference's most balanced scoring attacks throughout the regular season.
Leading the Golden Tigers from the sidelines,
Benjy Taylor was named SIAC Coach of the Year after guiding Tuskegee to one of the program's strongest seasons in recent years. Under Taylor's leadership, the Golden Tigers posted a 20-6 overall record and a 19-5 mark in SIAC play, securing the No. 1 seed in the SIAC West Division.
Tuskegee finished the regular season with one of the conference's most efficient defensive units while maintaining a balanced offensive approach. The Golden Tigers controlled games through rebounding margin, interior scoring, and disciplined defensive execution, producing an 11-1 home conference record and an 8-4 mark in league road games.
Taylor's leadership helped develop one of the conference's most complete teams, highlighted by multiple All-SIAC selections and consistent production across the roster.
Tuskegee now turns its focus to the 2026 SIAC Basketball Championships presented by Toyota, where the Golden Tigers will continue their pursuit of a conference title.
