TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The Tuskegee Golden Tigers dropped both games of their first road doubleheader of the season on Thursday, falling 7-6 and 20-14 to Stillman in a tightly contested non-conference matchup.
Stillman 7, Tuskegee 6 (7 Inn.)
Tuskegee battled throughout the opener but came up just short in a one-run decision.
After a scoreless first two innings, the Golden Tigers broke through in the top of the third.
Ryan Morrow delivered a two-run single to left field, plating Jeremiah Francis and
Chris Smith to give Tuskegee an early 2-0 advantage.
Tuskegee added to the lead in the fourth when
Jabari Johnson crossed the plate on an unearned run and extended the margin to 5-0 in the fifth. Tarell Ware scored on a wild pitch before Morrow followed with a sacrifice fly to center field, driving in another run.
Stillman responded with two runs in the bottom of the fifth and continued to chip away before rallying in the seventh inning. The Tigers briefly regained momentum in the top of the seventh when
Jacobi Brooks singled up the middle to score Collin McLeod, pushing Tuskegee ahead 6-4.
However, Stillman answered with three runs in the bottom half of the inning, including a two-run single, to secure the walk-off victory.
Morrow led Tuskegee offensively in game one, finishing with three RBIs. McLeod collected two hits, while Smith and Johnson each reached base multiple times. On the mound,
Aidan Zacarias started the game for Tuskegee, with
Jared Harmon and
Kriss Ross providing relief.

The nightcap turned into an offensive showcase, with both teams combining for 34 runs and 39 hits.
Tuskegee struck first again, plating two runs in the opening inning. The Golden Tigers continued to apply pressure early and built momentum through the middle innings, highlighted by timely hitting and aggressive baserunning.
Despite Tuskegee's offensive production, Stillman answered with big innings of its own, capitalizing on extended at-bats and multiple scoring opportunities. The hosts broke the game open with a high-scoring stretch in the later innings, pulling away to complete the sweep.
Tuskegee finished the second game with 14 runs on double-digit hits, highlighted by multiple multi-hit performances throughout the lineup. Ware, McLeod, and Brooks were among the Golden Tigers who contributed offensively, while Tuskegee continued to show speed on the basepaths.
