MONTEVALLO, Ala. __ Tuskegee Baseball dropped a midweek non-conference matchup on the road Tuesday afternoon, falling 11-1 in seven innings to Montevallo at Bob Riesener Stadium.
Â
The Falcons struck early and never looked back, plating a run in the first before breaking the game open with a five-run second inning to take a 6-0 advantage.
Â
Montevallo capitalized on timely hitting throughout the frame, stringing together multiple RBI singles and forcing Tuskegee into extended defensive innings. The Falcons added three more runs in the fourth and tacked on single runs in the sixth and seventh to secure the run-rule victory.
Â
Tuskegee's lone run came in the top of the fourth inning. After reaching base and advancing into scoring position, the Golden Tigers manufactured a run on a double to center field that brought a runner home and briefly cut into the deficit. Despite the scoring opportunity, Montevallo answered immediately in the bottom half to regain full momentum.
Â

Ryan Morrow,
Mekhi Smith, and
Chris Smith accounting for Tuskegee's offensive production. Morrow collected a hit in the leadoff spot, while Smith drove in the team's only run of the contest. Tuskegee left four runners on base and committed one error defensively.
Â
On the mound, Tuskegee used multiple arms in the contest.
Carter McKenzie drew the start, working two innings.
Rodney Mudd II,
Jaiden Brown, and

Â
Montevallo tallied 11 runs on 11 hits, with several Falcons recording multi-hit performances. The Falcons also capitalized on aggressive base running and timely situational hitting, collecting 10 RBI in the game and taking advantage of scoring opportunities throughout the afternoon.
Â
Tuskegee will look to regroup as they return to action this weekend, hosting rival Morehouse at home for a three-game conference series starting on Friday at 2 p.m. at Washington Field.
