DANVILLE, Ala. -- Tuskegee turned in a dominant performance Thursday evening at the Warhawk Invitational, finishing first among 16 teams with six runners finishing in the top 10. Edwin Kiprono continued his masterful 2026 campaign, winning for the fourth time in four starts by literally running away from the field.

The Golden Tigers scored 25 points, well ahead of second place Tennessee Wesleyan (88 points). Kiprono led the charge, finishing the 8k race in 25.11.7. That was more than a minute-and-a-half ahead of second place finisher Hudson Wallace of Bethel, which finished seventh. While Kiprono was first across the line, his teammates also laid waste to the rest of the competition.

Timothy Rotich (26:51.4) finished fourth and Paul Barmao (27:01.4) came in right behind him in fifth. Issiah Simms was seventh (27:42.6) and MackDonald Kiprop finished eighth with a personal-best time of 27:46.5. While Malcolm Kibiwot (27:49.9) finished 10th, his score did not count in the final tabulation, as only the top five finishers for each school earn team points.

Tuskegee is back in action on Oct. 24 as it competes in the UAH D2 Showcase, hosted by Alabama Huntsville.
