TUSKEGEE, Ala. - Tuskegee women's basketball returns home on Tuesday afternoon as the Golden Tigers host Kentucky State at 2 p.m. inside the Daniel "Chappie" James Center.
 
Tuskegee enters the matchup at 2-1 overall, while Kentucky State arrives at 2-2 on the season after splitting its first four contests.

ABOUT TUSKEGEE (2-1, 2-0 SIAC)
The Golden Tigers are coming off an impressive start to the 2025-26 campaign, showing poise and balance through three competitive games, including a narrow overtime loss at West Florida.
 
Tuskegee is averaging 64.3 points per game while allowing 62.7 points defensively, and the team has generated 68 opponent turnovers and 32 steals to begin the year. With improved offensive flow and standout defensive stretches, Tuskegee looks to carry momentum into its first home contest of the season.
 
Leading the way for Tuskegee is senior guard Arianna Durrell, who has emerged as one of the SIAC's top early-season performers. Durrell is averaging 18.0 points per game, highlighted by her 24-point season opener at West Florida, while shooting 39 percent from three and adding 3.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 3.0 steals per game.
 
Senior forward Shemaiah Mackin has been dominant in the post, averaging a 17.0 point and 10.7 rebound double-double on 57.6 percent shooting, including a 22-point outing against Fort Valley State. Junior A'Iyonna Kimble has provided immediate interior help with 7.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per contest, while guard Kae'la Mitchell is the next top scorer on the list, posting 5.3 points and 2.0 rebounds per game.
 
ABOUT KENTUCKY STATE (2-2, 2-1 SIAC)
Kentucky State enters averaging 64.0 points per game, powered by efficient shooting and rebounding. The Thorobreds hold a +6.8-rebounding margin, pulling in 44.5 boards per game, making them one of the SIAC's strongest teams on the glass.
 
Aaliyah Hayes leads KSU with 11.5 points per game on 52.8 percent shooting and 35.7 percent from three. Amina Seck adds 10.0 points and a team-best 6.8 rebounds while shooting 53.3 percent. Brittany Campbell provides 7.3 points and 3.3 rebounds, while Amyah Adair-Mars and Shiyah Forte contribute additional scoring and defensive pressure. KSU has forced 16.5 turnovers per game and averages 11.3 steals.
 
Saturday's matchup features a contrast of strengths, Tuskegee's pace, guard play, and turnover creation against Kentucky State's size and rebounding.
