TUSKEGEE, Ala. — Tuskegee women's basketball returns to the Chappie James Center on Thursday, November 20, for its 2025–26 home opener as the Golden Tigers open conference play in welcoming Fort Valley State at 5:30 p.m.
The matchup marks Tuskegee's first appearance on its home floor this season after opening the year earlier this week in a competitive overtime loss on the road at West Florida.

Tuskegee showcased toughness, defensive intensity, and balanced scoring in the opener, holding a 34-31 halftime lead before battling through a tightly contested second half.
The Golden Tigers forced 19 turnovers, grabbed 32 rebounds, and recorded seven offensive boards in the game. Despite leading for just 18 minutes of regulation, Tuskegee pushed the game to overtime, where the Argonauts converted key baskets down the stretch to close out the win.
The Golden Tigers were led by
Arianna Durrell, who made an immediate impact in her debut with 24 points, including five three-pointers, and four rebounds.
Shemaiah Mackin added 17 points on 7-for-13 shooting and grabbed nine rebounds, while
Aaliyah Duranham finished with eight points and six rebounds.

Fort Valley State arrives in Tuskegee with a 0-1 record after dropping its opener to Talladega, 71-65, in a game where the Wildcats showcased explosive guard play.
Aaniyah Allen delivered a standout performance with 30 points, connecting on 12-of-19 shots and four three-pointers while adding rebounds, assists, and steals on both ends of the floor. She was joined by Reya Johnson, who scored 25 points of her own on 10-of-14 shooting and knocked down four attempts from beyond the arc.
Their combined 55 points highlighted Fort Valley's perimeter strength and ability to score efficiently at all three levels. While the Wildcats shot well as a team, they also struggled with turnovers, committing 34 in the opener, a number that Tuskegee's defense will undoubtedly aim to pressure again on Thursday.
