TUSKEGEE, Ala. — Tuskegee University has officially announced the 2025-26 men's basketball schedule, as Head Coach
Benjy Taylor enters his sixth season at the helm of the Golden Tigers.
The campaign features a competitive mix of non-conference showdowns, pivotal SIAC matchups, and marquee tournament appearances that promise excitement and intensity from opening tip to the postseason.
The Golden Tigers will tip off the season at home on November 5 against Talladega for Macon County Education Day. The exhibition game will give fans an early opportunity to see the squad in action inside the friendly confines of Daniel "Chappie" James Arena.
Tuskegee will then travel to Montgomery, Ala., for the SIAC-GSC Crossover (Nov. 14-15), where they will face off against West Florida and host AUM in a pair of regional matchups.
The conference season gets underway with back-to-back home games against Fort Valley State (Nov. 20) and Clark Atlanta (Nov. 22).
Another major highlight of the non-conference slate is a trip to Orlando, Fla., for the HBCU Hoops Invitational starting on Dec. 5, providing national exposure and an early-season challenge. The Golden Tigers will take on Florida Memorial before facing the winner or loser between Barber-Scotia and Florida A&M on Dec. 6.
"We're really excited about the strength and balance of our non-conference schedule this season," said Head Coach
Benjy Taylor. "It gives our team a great mix of regional competition, high-level exposure, and meaningful opportunities to grow before we get into conference play. These matchups will challenge us early and help us prepare for what's ahead in the SIAC."
Coach Taylor's team will host a key home stretch in December, welcoming Allen (Dec. 11) and Benedict (Dec. 13) before heading on the road to face Savannah State (Dec. 17) and Edwards Waters (Dec. 19)
.
January brings a demanding SIAC run, including road battles at Kentucky State (Jan. 3) and Central State (Jan. 5) before returning home to host LeMoyne-Owen (Jan. 8) and Lane (Jan. 10).
A late-season showdown against Morehouse on Jan. 31 will be one to circle on the calendar, as the Golden Tigers and Maroon Tigers renew a historic rivalry on Tuskegee's home court.
The regular season will close with a home stand against Savannah State (Feb. 19) and Edward Waters (Feb. 21) before heading into the SIAC Championship Tournament starting on Feb. 25.
"Our SIAC schedule is as competitive as ever," Taylor added. "Every night in this league is a battle, and we'll be tested against some of the best programs and coaches in Division II basketball. The depth and talent across the conference continue to grow, and we look forward to embracing that challenge."
Golden Tiger fans can expect a season filled with action, grit, and pride as the team chases a conference title and builds on the program's strong tradition of excellence.
