TUSKEGEE, Ala. – Tuskegee men's basketball standout Kevin Sesberry has been named to the First Team HBCU D2 All-American Team by BOXTOROW for the 2024-25 season.
 
The prestigious honor recognizes Sesberry's outstanding contributions on the court and solidifies his place among the top HBCU Division II players in the nation.
 
Sesberry, a senior guard, played a pivotal role for the Golden Tigers throughout the season, leading the team in scoring with an impressive 18.0 points per game.

His impact extended beyond scoring, as he also averaged 4.7 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.4 steals per game while shooting 44.4 percent from the field, 39.6 percent from beyond the arc, and 75.8 percent from the free-throw line.
 
A dynamic offensive presence, Sesberry recorded multiple high-scoring performances, including a season-high 33 points in a thrilling double-overtime victory against Spring Hill on February 1.
 
He showcased his clutch ability in several key moments, most notably scoring 28 points against Albany State in the SIAC Tournament to help Tuskegee secure a critical postseason win.
 
His consistent excellence throughout the year earned him a spot on the All-SIAC Second Team and the SIAC All-Tournament Team.
 
Sesberry was a force in conference play, delivering seven games with 20 or more points and registering 14 games in double figures. His three-point shooting proved to be a weapon, as he knocked down 57 triples on the season at a 39.6 percent clip.
 
Defensively, Sesberry provided stability for the Golden Tigers, registering 39 steals and using his athleticism to create disruption against opposing guards.
 
His all-around contributions helped Tuskegee to a 16-14 overall record, including an 11-9 mark in SIAC play.
 
BOXTOROW, which has administered the HBCU All-American teams since 2009, recognizes the best players from Historically Black Colleges and Universities competing at the Division II level.
 
Sesberry's selection to the First Team highlights his status as one of the most dominant players in HBCU basketball this season.
 
With this recognition, Sesberry cements his legacy as one of Tuskegee's premier players in recent history.
 
His leadership and production on both ends of the floor were instrumental in the Golden Tigers' success, and his impact will be remembered as he concludes a stellar collegiate career.
