TUSKEGEE, Ala. – The Tuskegee women's basketball team is set to return to action for 2025 with a trip to Savannah State for an exciting Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) matchup on Saturday, January 4, at 2 p.m. ET inside Tiger Arena.

ABOUT TUSKEGEE (4-7, 1-3 SIAC)
The Golden Tigers are entering the game with a 4-7 overall record and a 1-3 mark in conference play, coming off a win in their most recent game, defeating Allen, 55-49, on December 21 at home.
Tuskegee has struggled to maintain consistency, averaging 57.7 points per game while shooting 34.8 percent from the field. However, their defensive efforts have kept them in games, as they have been strong in steals, averaging 8.4 per contest.
Leading the charge offensively for Tuskegee is senior guard
Brittney Bolin, who has been the team's top scorer, averaging 12.8 points per game while also contributing 3.6 rebounds per contest. Bolin has also been strong at the free-throw line, shooting 84.2 percent on the season.
Hilani Cantone has also provided a strong presence in the back court, averaging 10.3 points and 4.7 rebounds per game, with a field goal percentage of 42.7 percent.
Meanwhile, center
Jasmine Manuel has also been an important contributor, averaging 7.1 points per game and leading the team in rebounds with 6.9 per game.
ABOUT SAVANNAH STATE (6-6, 2-4 SIAC)
Savannah State, with a 6-6 record overall, sits at 2-4 in the SIAC. The team enters the game with a balanced offensive attack, averaging 65.8 points per game.
The Tigers have been efficient from the field, shooting 41.5 percent, and they have been a strong rebounding team, averaging 36.8 boards per contest.
Leading the way for Savannah State is sophomore forward Amani Hamilton, who is putting up 14.8 points per game while shooting 45 percent from the field and 78.7 percent from the free-throw line.
Senior guard Mya Byrd has also been impressive, contributing 11.6 points and 3.8 rebounds per game, while freshman guard Alayah Birch adds 10.9 points per game and 4.5 rebounds.
The game promises to be a competitive contest, as both teams look to improve their standings within the SIAC.
