Women’s Basketball Adds Five More to Finalize 2024-25 Roster

TUSKEGEE, Ala. __ The Tuskegee University women's basketball team finalized the 2024-25 roster with the signing of five more players to the program. Head coach Chiante Wester announced the signings on Wednesday, raising the Golden Tigers' incoming class to nine newcomers.
 
Among the newest signees are a pair of Alabama State transfers in DonYeil Bolton and Alyssa Green-White, along with fellow Division I transfers SyAnn Holmes (Mississippi Valley State) and Alexandria Johnson (Queens-Charlotte), and junior college transfer Breanna Glaze (Bishop State).
 
Bolton joins the program after two seasons at Alabama State, appearing in 34 games, starting seven as a Hornets over her two years. Over her career, the center has averaged close to ten minutes per game and grabbed 64 total rebounds and 17 blocks. Bolton played for her prep ball under Andres Lewis at Kenwood Academy in Chicago, Illinois, where she was a three-year letterwinner.  
Glaze, a Bishop State transfer, played in 30 games and started 24 as a sophomore under head coach Adria Harris last season where she averaged 5.2 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game. The Lady Wildcats held a 19-11 overall record and 9-5 conference mark, including winning nine of the last 12 to close the season. She also appeared in 20 games as a freshman after starring at Lanett High School where she was a double figure scorer for three varsity seasons. During her prep career she was named 1A Third Team All-State as a sophomore, played in the North South Alabama All-Star game and claimed 2A All-State Honorable mention as a junior.  
Green-White is also coming from nearby Alabama State, where she played in 17 games and started one during the 2023-24 season. Prior to her time with the Lady Hornets, Green-White played one season at Daytona State College. As a member of the Falcons, she appeared in 27 games averaging 2.3 rebounds per game as a freshman. She played her prep ball for Sam Caldwell at New Hope Academy in Hyattsville, Maryland.
Holmes started eight of 11 games played last season at Mississippi Valley State where she averaged 3.5 points and 3.1 rebounds in just over 20 minutes per game. During the 2022-23 season, the forward averaged 26 minutes per game and recorded 6.3 points and 3.0 rebounds. Prior to her time with the Delta Devilettes, Holmes spent time at Lincoln Trail College where she was a double figure scorer.
Johnson brings her 37 career Division I starts to the program after averaging over 22 minutes per game last season at Queens University of Charlotte. The guard shot nearly 40 percent from the field, 27.8 percent from three and 82 percent from the free throw line while being the third leading scorer for the Royals at 7.0 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game. As a junior, she averaged 6.9 points and 2.1 rebounds per game and ranked second in the ASUN in free-throw percentage, shooting 85.7% from the charity stripe.
