HUNTSVILLE, Ala. __ Tuskegee baseball fell on the road to Alabama A&M 14-13 on in a midweek non-conference matchup Tuesday afternoon in walk-off fashion, as the home team won the game on a double down 13-12, scoring the final two runs to end the game.

Despite the loss, Tuskegee collected 13 hits in the high-scoring affair, while Alabama A&M collected 16 on the day.

The Bulldogs were the first to get on board in the bottom of the opening inning thanks in part to an RBI single and a sacrifice fly, giving A&M a 2-0 lead. They extended the lead with another score in the second and heading into the fourth leading 4-1.
Tuskegee scored its first run in the third as
Elgin Neal II scored on a wild pitch. The Golden Tigers then tied the game in the top of the fifth by way of an RBI singles from
Julian Grier and
Alex Glass, while
Scott Williams grounded out to drive in a run.

In the bottom of the fifth, Alabama A&M broke the tie with an RBI double from Jared Tribbett, and later an RBI single to push the lead to 8-5.
Tuskegee tied the game again in the top of the sixth thanks to a triple by
Ryan Morrow and a walk by Grier.
Brian Hardaway II gave TU its first lead of the contest at 11-8 later in the game with a three-run homer in the top of the seventh, before the Golden Tigers took a 13-8 lead heading into the bottom of the eighth.
Alabama A&M rallied in the eighth, scoring a run on a wild pitch, followed by two unearned runs. The home team later hit an RBI double and scored on another wild pitch before hitting a solo home run to close the gap to 13-11. After shutting out TU in the top of the ninth, the Bulldogs won the game late with an RBI double down the left field line that scored two runs.
Jaylen Hill earned the start on the mound for Tuskegee, going three and one-third innings, giving up four total runs on six hits and striking out one.
Cody Willis pitched three and two-thirds innings in relief, allowing five hits and four runs, while striking out two and walking none. Meanwhile,
Jeremy Hawkins,
Mikelle Mason, and
Alandas Armistad also made appearances on the mound, with Mason taking the loss.

Five batters earned multiple hits in the game for Tuskegee, led by Morrow at 2-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored. Hardaway II also earned a pair of hits at 2-for-3 and led the team with three runs batted in from the seventh spot in the lineup. Glass, Grier, and Williams all earned two hits each and combined for three RBI and six runs scored in the loss.

Tuskegee will close out the regular season this weekend with a three-game conference battle on the road against Kentucky State. The series starts with a doubleheader on Friday, starting at 11 a.m. ET, followed by an 11 a.m. start on Saturday.
