TUSKEGEE __ Tuskegee women's basketball extended its current win four games following a 55-46 win over LeMoyne-Owen on Monday evening inside Daniel "Chappie" James Center.

The Magicians started the scoring in the game on the first possession with an easy layup off the tip-off, but Tuskegee (14-6, 11-5 SIAC) took control from that point on, scoring nine straight to gain a 9-2 edge at the 6:20 mark.

The Golden Tigers went on to lead from that point on, totaling over 38 minutes of game play, despite a number of runs from the Magicians.

Cynaye Bobbitt led the way offensively for Tuskegee, finishing the game with her second straight double-double with 12 points, 10 rebounds and one steal.
Brittney Bolin added 11 points and four assists, while
Jasmine Manuel added 11 points and seven rebounds in the win.
Tuskegee continued to hold the advantage, holding LeMoyne-Owen to just 25 percent shooting from the field (4-for-16), including a 0-for-6 mark from long range. Meanwhile, the Golden Tigers scored 17 in the frame on 40 percent shooting from the field and a perfect 4-for-4 mark from the charity stripe to lead 32-20 at the half, the largest lead so far.

TU remained in control in the third, leading for the entirety of the quarter and not letting the Magicians get within single digits. However, LeMoyne-Owen would attempt to come back once more in the fourth and final quarter but could not complete the comeback as the Golden Tigers took the conference win.

Madison Riley was the lone double figure scorer for the Magicians on the day with 14 points and five rebounds. For the game, LeMoyne-Owen shot just 25.8 percent (17-for-66), a season-low for the TU defensive.

The Golden Tigers finished shooting 36.4 percent (20-for-55) from the floor, 28.6 percent (6-for-21) from long range, and 75 percent (9-for-12) from the free throw line in the contest.
