FAIRFIELD, Ala. — Tuskegee had no answer for Miles and the passing attack on Saturday afternoon as the Golden Tigers dropped a 35-10 decision to the Golden Bears at Sloan-Alumni Stadium.
Tuskegee lost its second conference game and second in the last four games to fall to 7-3 overall and 6-2 in SIAC play. Miles improved to 6-2, 5-2.
After the opening kick, the TU defense forced a three-and-out on the first Miles drive, lasting just over one minute of game time. The offensive unit came on and went on a methodical drive, controlling much of the quarter with an 18-play drive, covering 89 yards in over ten minutes of play.

Corey Petty for a 21-yard gain, before a six-yard touchdown pass to
Antonio Meeks two plays later to take a 7-0 lead.
On the ensuing kickoff, Deontez White looked on his way to the end zone, returning the kick 50 yards before a fumble, recovered by the Golden Tigers at their own 36.
Looking to take control of the contest, Tuskegee gained 15 yards on the first two plays of the drive, however a sack and loss of eight stalled the possession, forcing the first punt of the day from
Ryan Duff.
Miles drove down the field on their next offensive possession, gaining a pair of first downs to cross midfield before a 31-yard pass to get in the redzone. Soon after, Kamron Ivory found tight end Travaunta Abner for a 2-yard score to tie the game at 7-7 with the 10-play, 86-yard drive.
Williams started the next drive with four straight completions for 22 yards, along with a three-yard rush before getting sacked on third and four at the TU 49. Duff punted it away for 42 yards to the Miles 16-yard line on the next play.
The Golden Bears struck quickly on their next possession, connecting on a 68-yard pass on third and two to get all the way down to the goal line, before a one-yard rush from Ivory, followed by an extra point to give Miles a 14-7 lead with just over four minutes remaining in the half.
After another punt from Duff on the next drive, Tuskegee forced another Miles fumble, as
Anthony Scott recovered a fumble from Ivory on the TU 30-yard line. The Golden Tigers got into field goal range on four plays, as
Lorcan Ryans made a 45-yard field goal as the clock expired for half time.
The second half was dominated by Miles, as the Golden Bears extended their lead to 28-10 after the third on a 73-yard bomb from Ivory to Jaylin Peterson, and a 10-yard rush to go up two scores with 1:40 in the third. They would go on to add another score in the fourth on a 13-play, 86-yard drive to take a commanding 35-10 lead.
Tuskegee finished with just 309 yards of total offense, including 70 on the ground and 239 through the air. Williams and
Christopher Roberson split time behind center, with Williams going 18-for 21 for 159 yards and a touchdown, despite four sacks. Roberson went 3-for 10 on the day for 39 yards, while
Malik Davis was 1-for-5 in the loss.
Miles finished with 425 yards, with Ivory finishing 18-for-27 for 312 yards and two touchdowns. The Golden Tigers rushed for 82 yards on the ground. Mile's run game helped pace the game in the second half — with six different rushers recording a carry.
