ATLANTA, Ga. – Tuskegee University placed 81 student-athletes on the 2021-22 Southeastern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Commissioner's All-Academic Team, the league office announced Tuesday.
A record high, 1,474 total student-athletes, were named to the 2021-22 SIAC Commissioner's All-Academic Team for maintaining at least a 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average throughout the academic year.
Tuskegee put eight student-athletes on their respective sports All-Academic Teams, including
Taliyah Browne, Irene Idaheo,
Kayla Howard,
Jireh Jones,
Saniya Keeton,
Jonathan Stocks,
Diandre White, and
Kayla Wright.
Student-athletes with a 3.2 or higher were considered for all-academic team honors. The number of student-athletes selected in each sport is determined by the number of positions usually involved in that sport.
Fifty-one students from 13 institutions recorded a 4.0 grade point average.
