TUSKEGEE, Ala. I The Tuskegee track and field program is set to compete in the Alice Coachman Invitational, hosted by Albany State over the weekend, the final meet for the Golden Tigers before the SIAC Championships.
The weekend meet will be the fourth on the season, after competing in the Savannah State Relays (Mar. 5), Emory Spring Break Classic (Mar. 18-19), and at the Golden Isle Relays hosted by Fort Valley State (Mar. 26).
Quinton Godfrey (Fairhope, Ala.) owns the top marks in the 100, 200, and 400-meter events on the men's side, with times of 10.75, 22.15, and 51.15 seconds respectively. Meanwhile
Diandre White (Baltimore, Md.) has the top performance thus far in the 800-meter event with a time of 2:12.56, followed by
Reggie Snead (Aurora, Co.) with a time of 5:22.59 in the 1500 for the top performance from Tuskegee in the event.
In the hurdles,
Victor Cross (Conyers, Ga.) and
Anthony McKithen (Florence, S.C.) hold the top marks in the 110 and 400 respectively, with times of 15.78 seconds from Cross and 59.23 seconds from McKithen, while
Jury Sims (Douglasville, Ga.) holds the top mark in the steeplechase with a time of 13:10.69.
In the field events,
Jeremy Jones (Birmingham, Ala.) owns two top performances in the shot put and javelin throw with a mark in the shot put of 12.80 meters and 38.79 meters in the javelin, while
Jireh Jones (Perryville, Md.) holds the top spot this year so far in the long jump at 6.49 meters.
Sundiata Washington (Conyers, Ga.) has the top high jump performance so far with a 6'4" mark, while teammates
Drake Hudson (Douglasville, Ga.),
Diallo Patterson (Fayetteville, Ga.), and White hold top marks with a 13.13-meter mark from White in the triple jump, a 112'11" mark from Hudson in the discus throw and a 35.61-meter mark from Patterson in the hammer throw.
McKenzii Frazier (Laurel, Miss.) has the top time on the women's side in the 100-meter, while
Cyndi Samuel (New Orleans, La.) owns the spot in the 200-meter at 28.27 seconds and
Kailyn Thrash (Chicago, Ill.) in the 400-meter at 1:03.94.
The top distance performances so far this season belong to
Angelique Johnson (Reserve, La.) in the 1500-meter and
Beyonce Griffin (Atlanta, Ga.) in the 3000-meter with times of 5:43.10 and 14:11.83 respectively, while
Ja'Nyah Jenkins (Houston, Texas) and
Saniya Keeton (Harker Heights, Texas) own the top hurdle marks with a 19.61 time from Jenkins in the 100 hurdle and a 1:16.13 time in the 400 hurdle from Keeton.
Jenkins has also fared well in the long jump and triple jump events, holding the top spot for the team in both events with a 16'0.5" distance in the long jump and 10.45-meter distance in the triple.
Teammates
Anniyha Bren (Newport News, Va.) and
Hannah Williams (Atlanta, Ga.) are the leaders in throws, as Bren has the best shot put mark (7.80m) and discus throw (82'11"). Williams has thrown the farthest in the hammer (18.16m) and javeline (34.51m).
