Trelanne Powell rebounded after a loss on Saturday by defeating LeMoyne-Owen 74-39 on Monday evening in a Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) game inside Johnson Gymnasium.
Tuskegee finished the game shooting 37.5 (24-of-64) percent from the floor, 30.8 (4-of-13) percent from three and 83.3 (10-of-12) percent from the free throw line. Meanwhile, LeMoyne-Owen shot 36.8 (21-of-57) percent shooting from the field, 25 (3-of-12) percent from deep, and 61.5 (8-for-13) percent from the charity stripe.
The Golden Tigers outscored the Magicians in several statistical categories, including fast break points (12-8), points in the paint (36-30), points off turnovers (25-10) and second chance points (16-9). They also outscored LeMoyne-Owen in three of four quarters, with the second being the exception.
Ashiala Jackson (Merrillville, Ind.) led the way for the Golden Tigers with a game-high 18 points along with grabbing nine rebounds, followed by
Aaliyah Austin (Satsuma, Ala.) and
India Blakely (Troy, Ala.) who added 12 points each.
JuToreyia Willis (Chattanooga, Tenn.) was the final double-figure scorer, scoring 10 points along with seven rebounds.
Madison Riley led LeMoyne-Owen with 14 points and nine rebounds. Patrisha Lollis recorded a double-double of 11 points and 11 rebounds, while Takya Bennet added and 10 points.

Tuskegee will return home for two games later in the week, beginning with Lane College on Thursday, February 17 inside the Daniel "Chappie" James Center with a 5:30 pm tip-off time. Masks must be worn at all times as to any Tuskegee University athletic event.
