TUSKEGEE, Ala. – Tuskegee women's basketball program will travel to Albany State in a midweek matchup for their third road contest to start the season on Tuesday, set for a 5:30 p.m. tip inside of the HPER Complex.
Tuskegee (2-0, 0-0 SIAC) defeated both Delta State, 69-49, and Mississippi College, 64-47, in non-conference action last weekend, as part of the Gulf South SIAC Crossover, held in Cleveland, Miss.
Albany State comes in at 1-1 on the year, after competing in the SIAC/CIAA Challenge last weekend, falling to Elizabeth City State, 62-53, on Friday before defeating Johnson C. Smith on Saturday, 74-71.

GAME NOTES
- SIAC Preseason Player of the Year Ashiala Jackson (Merrillville, Ind.) posted near double-doubles in both games to start the season. The forward finished with 11 points, eight rebounds, and a block against Delta State, followed by ten points, nine rebounds and a block against Mississippi College.
- Meanwhile, SIAC Preseason Defensive Player of the Year JuToreyia Willis (Chattanooga, Tenn.) also started right where she left off last season, leading the team in assists and steals over the first weekend. The graduate student had filled nearly every category in the season-opener, with 12 points, seven assists, five rebounds and five steals, while accounting for 11 points, seven assists and six rebounds against the Choctaws.
- The Golden Tigers displayed a balanced scoring attack so far, with four double figure scorers in each game. Nine different players scored against the Lady Statesmen, while eight players scored in game two against Mississippi College.
- Brittney Bolin (Trophy Club, Texas) has looked to be comfortable in her starting point guard role so far for Tuskegee, as she led the Golden Tigers to a pair of wins over the weekend against Delta State and Mississippi College in the Gulf South SIAC Crossover. The guard scored 17 points along with grabbing a pair of rebounds and dishing out two assists in the first game against Delta State, followed by an 11-point, five rebound and two assist outing in the second game.
