MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Golden Tigers women's volleyball team dropped a pair of matches in a tri-match hosted by Huntingdon this afternoon, with a match against the Hawks as well as against Faulkner.
Tuskegee dropped three straight sets in the opening game by scores of 25-14, 25-16, and 25-14. Sophomore
Chase Holloway (Madison, Ala.) led the Golden Tigers in the first match, recording seven kills against Huntingdon, while four others earned multiple kills.
Tayliah Browne (Brooklyn, N.Y) and
Erin Jackson (Marietta, Ga.) both accounted for eight digs a piece, while setter
Azariah Crosby (Merrillville, Ind.) finished with eight assists and six digs.
Tuskegee fell in similar fashion to Faulkner at 25-14, 25-16, and 25-13 in their second game of the day, Faulkner accounted for 14 aces in the match. Holloway led the way again, this time with seven kills and one dig, followed by
Chrischandria James (Trussville, Ala.),
Keniya Cleveland (Moreno Valley, Calif) and
Keniah McRuffin (Red Oak, Texas) who all had four kills each.
Up Next
The Golden Tigers will return to action next week in the second SIAC West Cluster hosted in Memphis, Tenn., beginning on Thursday against Central State, followed by matches against Lane, LeMoyne-Owen, and Kentucky State to round out the weekend.
