The Tuskegee University volleyball teamĀ won two of its three matches on day one of the 2019 SIAC Crossover Thursday. The three-day event is hosted on the campus of Albany State.

Crystal Hall and
Erin Jackson led the Golden Tigers in its win over Clark Atlanta, mounting 17 kills each.
Santana Lewis and
Jayla Garrett also had a solid outing offensively with 24 assist apiece.
Syncere Ellis paced the team against the Panthers in digs with 15.

In the final match of the day, TU topped Fort Valley State 25-15, 20-25, 25-18, 25-19. The win improved the team's record to 5-8 overall and 3-3 in the league.

Hall again led the way with 17 kills against the Wildcats, while Lewis again notched 24 assists. Ellis came away with a match-high 19 digs to close out the day
Adrionna WashingtonĀ led FVSU with 14 kills.Ā
V'Aira HarrisĀ added 11 kills and two aces, whileĀ
Ashleigh ReevesĀ pitched in with 28 assists.
TU suffered its only loss of the day in game one against Benedict. Hall pounded away 26 kills with Ellis producing 26 assists.
The Golden Tigers will square off with Savannah State at 8 a.m. and Paine College in an afternoon match that gets underway at 4 p.m.
