The Tuskegee University softball team is in Jasper, Ala. for the 2019 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Crossover, the official start to conference play in which the Golden Tigers will face five teams from the east division starting Friday morning.

At 2-15 overall, TU is out to snap a six-game losing streak and will get its opportunity with an 11:00 a.m. first pitch against Albany State, a team that has won their last three games and a 6-19 overall mark on the season. Later in the afternoon at 3:30 p.m. the Golden Tigers will face Benedict Tigers squad that sits right at .500 on the season with a 7-7 record. 

Fort Valley State, who is 3-9 through its first 12 games will be Skegee's first opponent Saturday afternoon with a 2:30 p.m. first pitch while Clark Atlanta caps the evening off at 4:45. The Panthers are 4-9 and has lost four in a row.  Only one game is on tap for Sunday. The Golden Tigers will complete the tournament closing things out with Paine College. The Lions currently sit at 0-6 and is in search of its first win of the season.
