TU downed in season opener by Palm Beach Atlantic University

James Eads led the Golden Tigers in scoring with 19 points, seven rebounds, and two assists.  Myles Thomas contributed 18 points and seven rebounds, while Deshawn Millington dropped 15 points in an effort to catch up to Palm Beach Atlantic, but it would not be enough to get past the Sailfish as the Golden Tigers suffered a 91-71 loss.

Tuskegee broke open a 42-42 tie mid-first half when Kaleb Morton nailed a three-pointer, giving the Golden Tigers a 45-42 lead. PBAU would surge back just before the break to regain its lead at 46-45, which is where the score remained at halftime.

The Sailfish had a significant advantage by outscoring the Golden Tigers bench 13-10 and points in the paint 50-28.

Palm Beach built its biggest second-half lead after a Jules Jasmin layup gave them an 89-69 advantage at the 0:24 mark

The Golden Tigers made eight three-pointers in the game with Morton drilling three and Eads adding two from beyond the arc. Morton also chipped in nine points.

Tuskegee is now 0-1 overall. The Golden Tigers will play The University of West Florida for their second consecutive home game, Saturday, November 16th at Chappie James Arena. The game will be carried live on the Tuskegee Digital Network.
