The Tuskegee University volleyball team snapped a three-game losing streak Friday night after defeating Clark Atlanta 3-1 from Chappie James Arena. The victory made it four out of the last five and three in a row over the Panthers. The Golden Tigers honored seniors
Brianna Fisher, Kiah Vanhoose and
Donovan Wingfield, who played their final match in a TU uniform.
Crystal Hall paced Skegee with 20 kills while
Erin Jackson and
Donovan Wingfield added 16 and nine respectively.
Santana Lewis produced a season-high 41 assists on the evening with
Syncere Ellis pouring in 23 digs. Fisher added and Vanhoose added 11 each.
The Golden Tigers outscored the Panthers 68-58 and also had a 10 point margin in kills, 55-45 and assist 53-43. Tuskegee improved to 8-16 overall and 7-12 in SIAC play.
Taylor Prude would end up being the only CAU player to notch double digit kills with 13.
TU will travel to Mobile for a 6 p.m. match against Spring Hill College on Friday, Nov. 1.
