The Tuskegee University volleyball team won its first two games of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Cluster Friday afternoon in Wilberforce, Ohio hosted on the campus of Central State. It marked the first time since the 2016 season that the Golden Tigers earned a pair of victories during the first day of the two-day tournament.
In game one, TU defeated Kentucky State in straight sets (26-24, 25-21,25-21) with
Syncere Ellis,
Taliyana Bryant and
Zoe Stoneham all notching seven kills each. The biggest highlight of the match was the game-high
Santana Lewis 30 assists.

In game two, the Golden Tigers topped the host team Central State 3-1 (25-22, 16-25, 25-12, 25-17). The victory gave TU its fourth win in six tries. Skegee nearly doubled the Mauraders in poinrs outscoring them 61-3 and in Kills 49-26.

The Golden Tigers will close things out in Ohio with a pair of matches against LeMoyne Owen College at 9:00 a.m. and Lane College later that afternoon at 1 p.m.
