The Tuskegee University volleyball team completed day one action of the Auburn University-Montgomery invite on the campus of AUM Friday afternoon falling in a pair of matches to the University of Alabama-Huntsville and the University of Monetvallo.
In game one with a strong 2-0 match lead in favor of the Chargers after wins in the first and second set, TU could not rally which led to a three-set sweep over the Golden Tigers with a 14-0 run to close out a 25-12 victory-clinching win in the third frame. 
Cyrani Butler and 
Crystal Hall led the team with seven kills each. 
Taliyana Bryant added four of her own.  
Santana Lewis finished with a game-high 18 assists.
 
Lorah Yonce led the way for the Chargers in the match-opening 25-17 win in the first set as the senior posted four kills on a .429 hitting percentage in addition to two block assists. UAH's attackers finished the second set with a .412 team hitting percentage as the squad had just two attacking errors in the stanza, propelling them to a 25-15 win to lead TU 2-0.
In game two, Hall finished with a team-high 10 kills with Lewis once again leading the way with another game-high 19 assists. 
The Golden Tigers will close out the invite Saturday facing the host team AUM at 6 p.m. The match game be seen live via the
