The Tuskegee University baseball team scored a pair of runs in the third inning and another two in the sixth to cruise past Georgia Southerwestern 6-2 Wednesday evening in Americus (Ga.). The victory ended an eight game losing streak for the Golden Tigers.

Freshman Corey Stallings led the way for TU going 3-of-4 from the plate with a run scored. and Tayari Albright and Lane Williams notched two hits apiece going 2-of-5 and 2-of-4 respectively. Albright drove in two runs with Williams scoring a pair of his own.

Nytorious Cooler picked up the victory for the Golden Tigers improving to 1-4 on the season. He struck out three batters and allowed two runs on nine hits during the team's midweek tuneup before hosting LeMoyne Owen in a three game series Friday evening.

Stewart Tyler was credited with the loss for GSW after giving on three runs on three hits.

First pitch with the Magicians from Paterson Field is set for 8 p.m. Due to impending weather, Saturday's doubleheader game times will be determined following Friday's single game with LOC
