Six unanswered runs lead Golden Tigers past Magicians

The Tuskegee University baseball team took game one of a three against The LeMoyne Owen College in a late Friday night 10-7 win from Paterson Field in Montgomery (Ala.). The win marked two in a row after defeating Georgia Southwestern Wednesday afternoon.

LOC jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead in the first inning, but Elgin Woodside chipped away TU's defecit with a two-run home run in the fourth inning that also drove in Tayari Albright. Lane Williams scored on a wild pitch moments later bringing the game to a 4-3 score. Moments later, Joshua Lewis tied the game at 4-4 we too would score on a wild pitch.

The Golden Tigers took its first lead of the game at 5-4 when Woodside flied out to once again score Albright.  TU tacked on two more runs to lead 8-4 after the seventh inning with runs scored by Cameron Hollins and Woodside 

LOC would rally adding three more runs in the eighth inning before the Golden Tigers put the game away, before Woodside would once again come through with single to left field that scored Lewis scored and Selochan.

Tuskegee closes out its series with a pair of games from Paterson Field Saturday afternoon with an 11:00 a.m. first pitch. Admission is free.
