The Tuskegee University men's basketball team won its second straight with a 76-63 win over Paine College Tuesday evening at Chappie James Arena. The SIAC matchup was a game that was originally scheduled for New Years Day, but was postponed due to a wintry storm.
Junior guard
James Eads scored a game-high 28 points, giving him a total of 1,002 in his three year career in a TU Uniform. He was 10-of-14 from the field including two three pointers and four rebounds.
Daniel Roach finished with 19 points and was 3-of-9 from beyond the arc. Roach was also a perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line.
Travis Flagg added 13 points and dished out eight assists.
TU held its largest lead (23 points) with 13:33 remaining the game with Eads scoring 19 of his 28 points in the second half. The Golden Tigers dominated in the paint outscoring the Lions 28-12
Skegee shot a blistering 50 percent from the field in the first half and 45.8 percent for the game while also connecting on 23-of-28 (82 percent) from the free throw line. Defensively Paine College was held to 27 percent shooting from three point range.
PC was led by Fadil Robsinson's 20 points and 10 rebounds. The Lions only led once 2-0, at the 19:34 mark of contest.
