James Eads' dunk with 20 seconds left propelled the Tuskegee University men's basketball team past its rival Miles College Saturday evening from Chappie James Arena. The victory splits the season series between the two schools.

A layup by Cam Grepke with 14 seconds left brought Tuskegee to within a point 66-65. On the ensuing possession, an errant pass from D.J. Mitchell caused a steal from TU's Miles Thomas that found Eads, who took off and jammed a one handed dunk with 10 seconds remaining. Jeffrey Dockett's off-balance three point attempt was no good, giving the Golden Tigers a come from behind win.

TU, who trailed by as many as 12 points in the first half and went into halftime behind 35-25. The Golden Tigers would go on to outscore the Golden Bears 42-31 the rest of the way. Tuskegee shot over 40 percent from the field and connected on 12 from beyond the arc for 38 percent shooting.

Eads led all scored with 24 points on 9-of-17 shooting. The Orlando, Fla. native also made five three pointers. Daniel Roach scored 13 points along with a trio of three pointers. Travis Flagg and Thomas each added 12 apiece while Mike Young added eight rebounds.

TU scored 15 points off of turnovers with 13 of them coming in the second half. 

Docket paced MC with 15 points. Sheldon Wright, who scored 10 points in the first half, would not score again for Miles.

Tuskegee will host Paine College Tuesday, Feb. 13 in a makeup game from New Years Day. Tip off is set for 4:30 p.m.
