The Tuskegee University women's basketball team suffered its second conference loss of the season against Spring Hill College Saturday afternoon from Chappie James Arena. The 66-55 loss marked four straight for the Golden Tigers.
TU trailed by 13 points in the second half and clawed its way back taking the lead by one point with 6:29 left to play. However, an 11-2 run helped close the deal for the visiting Badgers. Jade Wilson and Taylor Miller led Tuskegee (1-7, 0-1) in scoring with 12 points each. Teja Finley earned her first double-double of the season producing 11 points and 12 rebounds. Donshelle Daniels added six points.
Spring Hill (5-1, 0-0) had four score in double figures with Tiffany Valentine who led all scorers with 13 points.
The Badgers shot 46.3 percent from field while holding the Golden Tigers to 28.8 percent shooting and also outscored TU in the paint 40 to 20. Tuskegee improved with its productivity off the bench outscoring SHC 35-28.
The Golden Tigers host West Florida, a rematch from last Thursday, Tuesday Dec. 5 at 6 p.m.
