Tuskegee came up short in a late rally attempt at Fort Valley State Saturday afternoon falling 60-53 at the HPE Complex in Fort Valley, Georgia. The loss handed the Golden Tigers their second straight defeat and their first of a two game road swing.

TU trailed 53-39 with 4:43 left to play after a Myles Thomas free throw. From there, the rally started when Daniel Roach, who saw his first action of the season converted on back-to-back three pointers bringing the Golden Tigers to within 10 points 55-45.  Two possessions later, Travis Flagg made a layup while drawing foul. His made free throw completed the three-point play making the score 55-48 at the 2:06 mark. On the ensuing possession, Flagg drained a deep three pointer with 1:02 left in the game narrowing the deficit to 55-51. FVSU went on to make five more free throws to eventually put the game away.

Flagg, led both teams in scoring with 19 points and a pair of three pointers. Roach, the only other player in double figures finished with 11 points while Cam Grepke came off of the bench to score six points. Leading scorer, James Eads was held 11 points below his average finishing with only four points on the day. Walter Foster paced the Wildcats with 16 points and six rebounds on 8-of-14 shooting from the field. Tyler Edwards and Jmes Barnes scored 11 points and 10 points respectively. 

The Golden Tigers were outscored in the paint (24-17) and off the bench (33-24). Despite trailing 30-22 at halftime, TU outscored the Wildcats 31-30 in the second half.
