Golden Tigers falter late at AUM

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Tuskegee led by as many as 14 points in the first half and had three score in double figures, but a pair of free throws with .3 seconds left lifted Auburn-Montgomery past the Golden Tigers in dramatic fashion 68-66.

Trailing 13-11, The Golden Tigers went on a 20-4 run 9:51 into the game highlighted by three pointers in successions by Myles Thomas.

With 1:02 seconds left to play and TU leading by three, AUM tied the game at 64-64 with a three pointer by Darrion Taylor.  Eads made a pair of free throws helping TU reclaim the lead at 66-64. One possession later, a Marcus Johnson rebound and put-back tied things again at 66-66.

On the very next trip, Eads was blocked by Airen Brooks with 11 seconds left to play on his way up to the basket.  The Warhawks raced the ball down the floor and that is when Flagg fouled AUM's Marcus Jackson, who made both free throws, handing the Golden Tigers its fifth loss of the season.
