The two teams enter the contest in search of first conference win

TUSKEGEE, Ala. | The Tuskegee University men's basketball team will look to end a four-game Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) losing streak Monday afternoon when they host Paine College at 2 pm inside Booker T. Washington High School.

Tuskegee (1-12, 0-4 SIAC) currently lead the conference in scoring defense, allowing just 66.4 points per game in the 13 contests – four points better than the next best team (Benedict 68.7). They will be facing a Paine (1-10, 0-5 SIAC) team that is currently 10th in the conference in scoring offense at 72.5 points per game.

The two teams have a pair of players each in the top 25 in scoring in the conference through the first portion of the schedule, including James Eads of Tuskegee at 14.5 points per game. Meanwhile, Kaderious Compton is third in the conference in scoring (18.0 ppg) and ninth in the conference in rebounding (7.6 rpg), while teammate Jared Tate is 13th in the conference in scoring (14.3 ppg). Tuskegee's Travis Flagg is currently 25th in the league in scoring (11.6 ppg) and 12th in the conference in assists (2.8 apg).

Meanwhile, Yusef Riley of Paine is tied for ninth in rebounding (7.6 rpg).

Paine enters the game on a 10-game losing streak, with their lone win coming against Flagler in the season-opener; while Tuskegee enters on a five-game losing streak with their win coming against Johnson C. Smith back on December 4.

The Golden Tigers will have a full roster of players for the first time all season as Daniel Roach and Elijah McMillan have returned after missing the majority of the season, with the duo combining for 15 points against Claflin and McMillan adding 15 of his own against Benedict in the team's last game.
