Golden Tigers fall to Lane on the road Saturday

James Eads leads way with 15 points in loss

JACKSON, Tenn. | Lane College placed four players in double figures Saturday afternoon, ending Tuskegee University's four-game winning streak with a 63-51 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) victory Saturday afternoon.

James Eads was the lone player in double figures for Tuskegee (5-13, 4-5 SIAC) as he finished with 15 points. Joshua Culver added nine points and six rebounds, while Elijah McMillan grabbed seven rebounds for the Golden Tigers.

Tuskegee finished the night shooting 36.7 (18-of-49) percent from the floor, but just 18.2 (2-of-11) percent from beyond the arc in the loss. The Golden Tigers also shot 61.9 (13-of-21) percent from the free throw line.

Meanwhile, Kendarius Ash led Lane (9-8, 6-2 SIAC) with a game-high 16 points and 14 rebounds. He was joined in double figures by Devontay Clark with 14, Maurice Alexander with 13 (seven rebounds) and Terrance Bridgeman with 13.

The Dragons ended the night shooting 38.2 (21-of-55) percent from the floor, but just 12.5 (2-of-16) percent from beyond the arc. They also finished the night shooting 73.1 (19-of-26) from the free throw line.

Tuskegee returns to action Monday night against LeMoyne-Owen with tip set for 7:30 pm in Memphis.
