FRANKFORT, Ky. | The Tuskegee University women's basketball team looks to end a four-game losing streak and build momentum for the second half of the season when they travel north for a pair of games against Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) opponents Saturday and Monday.
 
The Tigerettes face Kentucky State at 1 pm (est) Saturday afternoon, and follow that up with a game against Central State on the road with tip set for 5:30 pm (est) on Monday. Both games can be heard on the Tuskegee Digital Network.
 
Tuskegee (5-9, 1-4 SIAC) is coming off of a 59-49 home loss to Spring Hill College in their last outing, the team's fourth consecutive conference loss after winning their first of the season against Clark Atlanta in December. The Tigerettes were led by Rachel Brownlee with 20 points, the lone player in double figures in the loss for the team.
 
Brownlee is among the conference leaders in scoring and leads Tuskegee averaging 18.5 points on the season. The senior has scored in double figures in 38 of the team's 40 games, after having a streak of 36 consecutive games in double figures snapped against Benedict last week. She currently sits third in the conference in scoring through 14 games.
 
Meanwhile, Taylor Miller is second on the team in scoring at 10.7 points per game and is among the conference leaders in three-pointers attempted as she is shooting 27.0 (27-of-100) percent from beyond the arc. The Tigerettes have five players averaging 4.7 or more rebounds this season, led by Brownlee at 6.3 per game. Tuskegee is currently sixth in the conference in scoring offense, averaging 67.6 points per game through 14 games.

Assistant coach Chatil Bradford will continue to serve in an interim role this weekend against Kentucky State and Central State, while head coach Quacy Barnes-Timmons is away dealing with a death in her family.
